Anti-social behaviour and race crime team

The anti-social behaviour team is responsible for the prevention, detection, investigation and resolution of racial harassment and anti-social behaviour (ASB) that affects or is perpetrated by Hounslow Homes’ tenants and leaseholders. The key functions include:

  • Provision and management of neighbourhood wardens
  • Management and deployment of professional witnesses
  • Management of concierge services
  • Provision and management of legal advice
  • Close liaison with the police

There are three area teams of ASB specialists dealing with casework located in our area offices in Central, East and West areas. In addition, the neighbourhood teams at Ivybridge and Brentford deal with case work in their neighbourhoods.

These teams prioritise action on ASB cases leading to swift and appropriate action to stop the problem.

The team is responsible for the development of community support services to assist in the prevention or deterrence of ASB, and for ensuring the appropriate use of external agencies for support and particular functions including mediation. They also ensure effective liaison with social services, health authorities and other agencies.
