Be on your guard against bogus workmen

We have recently received a number of reports of bogus workmen trying to gain entry to residents’ homes. When workmen call at your property, make sure you see proof of their identity before you let them in. All Hounslow Homes staff and contractors who are employed to work on our behalf carry identity cards which are to be produced upon request.

With the exception of emergency situations, all visits are made by appointment only and therefore if you are in ANY doubt, do not let the person in until you are satisfied who they are. If you suspect that you have been visited by a bogus workman you should immediately notify the Police on 999.
