We recognise that young people often don't feel that their concerns are taken seriously or believe that they have little influence in the way we make decisions or deliver our services. This doesnt have to be the case, make a difference by "Getting Involved" in the following ways:
- Become a Board member - minimum age is 18, & you could influence how Hounslow Homes is run
- Join your local Residents Association or start one up if you don't have one in your local area
- Join Hounslow Federation of Tenants & Residents Associations (HFTRA) - which is the body that represents many of the resident associations in Hounslow
- Join the Housing Management Forum - across East, Central & West areas of the borough
- Join the Residents Panel
- Conduct mystery shopping
- Join the Disability Consultative Group
- Join the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Working Group
To get details on any of the above involvement opportunities please see the Getting Involved section on this website or contact the Tenant Participation Team via 0800 085 6575.
If you have any other suggestions of how you as a young person would like to be involved in Hounslow Homes, please contact the Equalities Team on 020 8583 3762.
