The lease is a contract between the council and you. It sets out in legal terms what your obligations and rights are as a leaseholder and what the councils obligations and rights are as a landlord.
The lease is a legally binding contract enforceable in law. The lease will contain information such as:
- Standard conditions
- Binding agreements for both the council and the lessee
- Information which applies to your home
- The councils obligations and your obligations
