We have 112 lifts across the borough on our estates. The lifts are maintained and repaired by contractors working on our behalf.

Reporting a problem

To report a fault or entrapment please call the contractor direct:

All blocks (excluding Brentford Towers) call 0845 634 0213 - Apex Lifts

Brentford Towers only (Boulton House, Fraser House, Harvey House, Wicksteed House, Cornish House, Maudsley House) call 020 8293 4176 - Jackson Lift Services

The times for our contractors to respond to a fault is 2 hours (maximum) to site Monday-Friday (8.00am-6.00pm) and 4 hours (maximum) to site evenings, Saturday, Sundays and bank holidays.

Alternatively, you can report the problem to the Customer Service Centre on 0800 085 65 75 Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm.

Please give the contractor as much information as possible.


Regardless of where you live, Hounslow Homes has the same entrapment policy throughout the borough:

Monday-Friday (8.00am-6.00pm) In the event of an entrapment,the response time is 30 minutes (maximum)

Evenings, Saturday, Sundays and statutory holidays In the event of an entrapment, the response time is 60 minutes (maximum)

Calling The Fire Brigade

The fire brigade should only be called where there is a health or safety risk to the persons trapped in the lift. The Health and Safety Executive has stated that lift entrapment is to be considered an inconvenience and is not a risk unless the passenger/s has an underlying medical condition. Please only call the fire bridage when the trapped passenger has a medical condition. Our engineers will attend the site within the above call out times.
