Employment and Training
There are employment and training opportunities available. Your local Job Centre has work programmes that you can join. Please visit Job Centre Plus to get help with finding a job, finding out where your local job centre is or report a change in your circumstances. There is also the Universal Job Match Online service which can be accessed from www.gov.uk/jobsearch . You can search for jobs in Great Britain and abroad.
A Job Centre plus portal can also be accessed via our DigiTV service - if you are a Sky or Virgin Media customer, have a nintendo wii or an Iphone/Android smartphone (all must be connected to the internet) you can search for jobs for free at home or on the move. The Council also have some programmes to assist with employment opportunities and helping people get back to work. Please visit the London Borough of Hounslow's website for more information. Their Adult Education department can also help with finding you the right course.
West Thames College can also provide you with advice and information on courses. If you are claiming certain benefits, these courses could be free for you to join. You can find information on the courses available, including apprenticeships at: www.west-thames.ac.uk/en/courses/
