About the Project
The council, Hounslow Homes and Lovell (our development Partner) are developing regeneration proposals for the Heston area, that include the provision of new private, affordable rented and low cost home ownership properties. Estates identified to date for these works are Heston Farm, Brabazon Estate, Harlech Gardens, Northfield Rd, Norman Crescent and Redwood Estate. We believe that a mix of different ownership options brings real benefits to the Heston area. In addition, the income from the sale of private properties enables us to build new affordable rented homes and provide environmental and community improvements.
The work will be phased for the six proposed sites across the Heston area and will take around three years to complete.

Brabazon Road - information, site plans and images
Site C1
Site C1 is a space to the rear of a three storey block on Brabazon Road - and Cobham Road.
Our proposal is to replace the redundant land with 10 family homes for rent. There will be an extension of De Havilland Road to give access to the existing garages in the back gardens of Wright Road. We will provide a clearly defined path through to the shops on Brabazon Road overlooked by the new homes.
The 10 semi –detached houses will be provided with gardens exceeding the requirements in London Borough of Hounslow and have off street parking.
The height and scale of the proposed houses are designed to follow the character pattern of the existing surrounding houses. The houses are designed to resemble and merge with the existing surrounding character area with brick as the plinth of the building and render.

Passingham House site
Redevelopment proposals for this site were approved by the Council’s planning department in October 2010. The new build will provide a mix of 41 affordable rented, shared ownership and private units for sale.
Work on the development is likely to commence spring 2011 and residents living on Heston Farm will be sent further details regarding the programming of these works. There will also be environmental improvements carried out on the estate specifically aimed at improving refuse and recycling, drying area and better play facilities for children.
Harlech Gardens
A consultation event was held with residents on July 2010 to present new build proposals for a 10 unit development comprising of 6 three bedroom maisonettes and 4 two bedroom flats. All properties will be affordable rented units. Comments we received were generally positive with the majority of residents in favour of the scheme. Some issues regarding car parking facilities on the estate were raised by residents we are investigating options to improve the current provision.
Residents will be contacted in the New Year with updates on how plans are developing.
The other projects on Heston sites are to follow on in future years (subject to planning and consultation processes). The residents affected will be consulted before any proposals are finalised.
