Construction work on the East site development to build eleven 3 bedroom houses for affordable rent is almost complete. Properties have now been allocated and they are due to be handed over to Hounslow Homes November 2010. It is anticipated new residents will move into these new properties in time for Christmas.
Construction work on the west site is also progressing well and it is anticipated this development which is a mix of affordable houses for rent, shared equity and private units for sale will be completed in spring 2011.
A local lettings policy is in operation for the affordable rented unit which means that residents living in this area with an assessed need for these types of units will have priority over other applicants.

About the project
The regeneration of Convent Way will involve the demolition of existing two storey car parks. The construction of 39 houses and flats on the site will commence and the aim is to have the build completed by spring 2011. In total, 19 affordable units are being provided, including 15 family sized homes for affordable rent and 4 flats for affordable low cost home ownership.
