Convent Way new homes

Wed, 01 December 2023

Hounslow Homes in partnership with the London Borough of Hounslow and Lovell are celebrating the handover of 11 new Hounslow Homes owned properties on the Convent Way estate. This is the first development to deliver new homes for Hounslow tenants through the major partnership arrangements between the Council, Hounslow Homes, Lovell and United House, designed to create up to 1,000 new affordable homes in the London Borough of Hounslow.

These much needed three bedroom family homes will help cater for the growing needs of the community and have been built to a very high quality with many more across the Borough on the way.

Hounslow Homes Chief Executive Bernadette O’Shea said she was thrilled that: 'The commitment and partnership between Hounslow Homes, the London Borough of Hounslow and Lovell to build new homes for families has not diminished due to the recent budget cuts. Larger homes are exactly what the Borough needs and with our new builds at Convent Way, Hounslow Homes’ commitment to provide quality homes to families in the London Borough of Hounslow continues.'

Hounslow Deputy Leader and Lead Member for Housing, Cllr Ruth Cadbury added: 'I was so pleased and proud to be at the celebration and to see the houses before the first tenants move in by Christmas.'

Lovell Regional Director, Steve Coombs, said: 'Lovell is very proud to have been involved with the housing regeneration programme in Hounslow for the past few years and we are particularly pleased to hand over the first of these new homes. I’m sure families will appreciate the quality of the build and the comfortable living the homes will offer.'

Convent Way will benefit from 49 new properties, 11 three-bedroom houses and four four-bedroom houses for rent as well as 4 two-bedroom shared equity flats.

New tenants will be moving into the completed properties over the next few weeks with families hopefully being settled into their new homes in time for Christmas
