Hounslow Homes is looking for six local young people up to the age of 18 to train for paid apprenticeships with us. We are offering opportunities for individuals to work as Heating Engineers, Plumbers, Carpenters and Electricians.
Over a 3 or 4 year period (depending on the trade) you will combine courses at college with on the job training carrying out work throughout the borough. When you finish, not only will you be an expert in your chosen trade, you will have an NVQ Level 3 qualification.
Hounslow Homes Chief Executive Bernadette O’Shea said: 'We have a long history of offering apprenticeships to young people, with some of our employees starting as apprentices still here more than thirty five years later. We are so proud to be able to provide this opportunity for young people in the local community. A trade is something that will provide them with skills they will always have and always be able to use.'
Whether you are male or female, a school leaver, or have already begun a trade apprenticeship we would still love to hear from you. On successfully completing your apprenticeships we may also be able to offer you ongoing employment with Hounslow Homes. The closing date is 17 December 2010.
